I am not the brightest person when it comes to computers, but I am not the dumbest person either. I know a thing or two and like to think that I take pretty good care of my computer. I have always made sure to keep my antispyware and antivirus applications up to date. That is why I was pretty surprised when AntivirusAgent infected my computer.
I first noticed that I had a problem when my computer was working extremely slowly. I ran my security applications but they didn’t find anything. It wasn’t long after that that I received a security warning from a program called AntivirusAgent. I hadn’t heard of the program but it wanted me to allow it to scan my computer. I simply closed out the warning and didn’t think much of it.
The next day, I turned on my computer and went to fix my breakfast while it booted up. When I came back, I noticed that a scan was being performed. I didn’t like what I saw either. It was AntivirusAgent and its scan said that my computer was infected with viruses. I thought that it was very likely that I was infected, but I still didn’t trust this program.
I got online and did a search for the program and soon discovered that it was a rogue antivirus program. It was in the process of trying to get me to buy its program too. Well, I wasn’t going to fall for it. Instead, I started searching for a new antispyware program since mine obviously wasn’t doing a very good job.
After comparing several programs and calling up a friend to ask for his recommendations, I finally settled on the antispyware that I believed would be best for me.
